Bio
Jason Jones aka Ny, born in the heart of Harlem, New York City.
His life and projection of music is far yet like the modern day rapper. No « Bling Bling » lyrics in his songs or guns and death threats ; but yet poetic with meaning. Combining street smarts with book knowledge. Ny has created a whole new level when it comes to wrighting and performing hip hop.
Beyound the main stream lyes the underground, home and underworld to Ny. After his first international apperence at The Montreux Jazz Festival Miles Davis Hall(Switzerland) crossing over Hip Hop and Heavy Metal opening gig for legendary group Sonic Youth, he found inspiration in itself. Puting together two upcomming albums : Twisted « Save the Planet (kill yourself) » heavy metal/hip hop ; and his own solo album Ny « 1 God 1 Life » (hip hop). Dominated by accoustic sounds, street beats, with the most powerful and meaningful contents of lyrics. One of his past realeases (Biohazard) appears on a compilation put together by an association of ten bands. Ny is able to combine all his influences from music as well as his personal visions on life which allowed him to appear in Vibe Urban Magazine 2000 issue and 1999. Ny has been stepping on the same stages as, The Roots, Asian Dub Foundation, Mos Def.
2004, Ny is out on his own road seeking opportunities
